The discipline of reconfigurable computing experienced an explosive growth within the past few years. Many new devices, hardware architectures and software environments have emerged, facilitating the application of reconfigurable computing for solving interesting problems. The panel will discuss these emerging trends with special emphasis on open issues and directions to foster further growth and application of the configurable computing technology.
