Xputer Lab Kaiserslautern
- Reconfigurable Computing with KressArray
Research of the VLSI CAD Group at the Xputer
Laboratory focuses on full custom designs of word-level reconfigurable
circuits (FPAA: field-programmable ALU array). A FPAA example is the Kress
Array. A second point of focus is the design of library cells for innovative
processors, like e. g. generic address generators (GAG),
avoiding fetch overhead. Our Lab at the Computer Structures Group (CSG)
at Kaiserslautern University also offers regularly structured graduate
and undergraduate courses and lab courses on VLSI design tools and methods.
