Manual - Part 4

Definition of a Scan-Pattern

A scan pattern consists of several video scans. To create a scan pattern you have to combine these simple scans to complex scans. Complex scans can be compound scans, meshed scans, nested scans and all kind of combinations of them.

The main window is devided into two parts. The tree window on the left and the working list on the right side. To create a new scan like a compound scan, a meshed scan or a nested scan press the corresponding button. Now you can mark a normal scan by clicking on it. To mark several scans press the CTRL-button on your keyboard and the left mousbutton. Click on the right-button to shift the marked scans right. You can make this several times and create complex scans this way. It is also possible to shift a complex scan into another. A complex scan has to have a minimum of two scans. Otherwise it will be removed from the tree.

At the end all normal scans have to be shifted inside complex ones. Only one complex scan has to be the top of the tree (root). If there are normal scans left or more than one complex scan on the highest level you may have made an error.

There are also small windows on the left. You can choose between a view mode (default) and an edit mode. The view mode shows the most important parameters and the outline of the marked scans. Use the edit mode to change some of these parameters. The parameters for complex scans can be changed in both modes.
